At 25 miles long, Loch Awe is the longest lake in the United Kingdom. It is a truly spectacular place to explore. Secluded beaches, ruined castles and stunning woodland walks are just some of what you will discover, not to mention the wildlife that surrounds you.

Crinan Canal Basin
Boats, with or without a motor, are available to hire for full or half days from LochAweside Marine. When hiring a boat, you can also hire spinning or fly fishing rods.

Walking and Cycling
There are a number of guided walks in the area, the WalkHighlands website is a great place to start. RCS Cycles in nearby Taynuilt you can hire a range of bicycles and accessories which they will deliver to the site. There are many cycle trails through the forest. The Forestry Commission website shows details of these.
